    • What is social hygiene?
    • The Alcohol Act
    • Requirements for the manager
    • The Social Hygiene Register
    • Para-commercial venues

What social hygiene is, why the Alcohol Act (Alcoholwet) exists and who does what. You learn the terms used in the law, the requirements a manager must meet and how the Social Hygiene Register (Register Sociale Hygiëne) works, including for sports canteens and clubs.

On the exam: Questions about the requirements for a manager, such as the age of 21, and about terms like weak and strong alcoholic drinks.

    • Price promotions and happy hours
    • Supervision and sanctions

What the Alcohol Act asks of you behind the bar and at the door: checking age, no alcohol for drunk guests, the licence, sales at a distance, price promotions, the role of the municipality and what happens if you break the rules.

On the exam: Lots of case questions: may you serve or sell here, who commits an offence, and which sanction follows a violation.

    • Business formulas
    • Target groups
    • Attracting and keeping out guests

    • Safety and health
    • Information and instruction
